UniFi Talk: a phone system that stops being a separate vendor.
Ubiquiti UniFi Talk runs on the same console as your network, cameras and doors — desk phones, softphones, auto-attendant and call routing, administered in one place.
The phone bill nobody has reviewed since 2019
Business phone service is where old contracts go to hide. Most of the systems we inherit are a mix of legacy handsets, a hosted provider nobody has renegotiated in years, and a web portal that requires a support ticket to change a voicemail greeting.
We install UniFi Talk, which runs on the same UniFi console as your network, your UniFi Protect cameras and your UniFi Access doors. That is the whole point: one platform, one interface, one company to call. Adding an extension for a new hire takes about a minute, and it happens in the same place where you already manage their network access.
Because we also install the cabling, the switching and the network, the phones get what they need to work properly — PoE from a switch sized for it, and a voice segment that is not competing with everything else on a flat network. Most VoIP quality complaints are network problems wearing a phone costume.
- UniFi Talk deployment on your existing or new UniFi console
- Desk phones, plus the Talk softphone app for laptops and mobile
- Auto-attendant, ring groups and call routing built to how you actually answer
- Voicemail, voicemail-to-email and call recording where you need it
- Business hours, after-hours and holiday call handling
- Number porting from your existing provider
- PoE switching and cabling sized for the handsets
- Voice network segmentation and quality-of-service
- Conference room and common-area phones
- Ongoing changes handled by us, not a ticket queue at a carrier
One console, four systems
This is the practical argument for standardizing on Ubiquiti. Your network, cameras, doors and phones stop being four vendors with four portals, four support numbers and four renewal dates.
UniFi Network
Switching, firewalls, wireless and segmentation — the foundation the rest of it runs on.
UniFi Protect
Cameras recording locally, with no per-camera licensing and one app across sites.
UniFi Access
Doors, credentials and audit trails, with video attached to every entry.
UniFi Talk
Extensions, routing and handsets managed beside everything else.
One onboarding action can create a user's network account, door credential and phone extension. One offboarding action removes all three.
Common questions
Can we keep our existing phone numbers?
Yes. We port your numbers from your current provider and coordinate the cutover so there is no window where calls fail to arrive.
Do we need a UniFi network for Talk to work?
Talk runs on a UniFi console, so there is a hardware requirement. If you are already on UniFi, it is straightforward. If not, we scope the console and switching as part of the project.
What does it cost to run?
The handsets and console are a one-time hardware purchase. Phone lines and numbers carry a monthly per-line service cost, which we quote against what you are paying now — the comparison is usually favorable.
Can people work from home?
Yes. The Talk app turns a laptop or phone into an extension, with the same number and the same routing as the desk phone.
What happens to calls if our internet drops?
Calls route to mobile numbers or straight to voicemail according to rules we set up in advance, so an outage does not mean an unanswered phone.
Will call quality be good?
It comes down to the network. We segment voice traffic, apply quality-of-service and size PoE properly — which is the difference between VoIP that works and VoIP people complain about.

A walkthrough and a written scope cost nothing. You'll get a real number before anyone shows up with a ladder.
