We install one camera platform: Ubiquiti's UniFi Protect. That is a deliberate choice, not a supply-chain accident. Standardizing means our team knows the platform deeply rather than passably, and it means your cameras, doors, phones and network all report to the same console instead of four disconnected systems with four logins.
The practical advantages are hard to argue with. Footage records locally to your own drives, so there is no cloud storage bill and no dependence on an internet connection to keep recording. There are no per-camera licensing fees, which is the line item that quietly doubles the cost of most competing systems over five years. And the Protect app gives you every camera across every property in one place.

The most common failure in a camera system is not image quality — it is that the incident happened just outside the frame, or the footage rolled over before anyone looked, or the entry camera was aimed into backlight so everyone arriving is a silhouette. Why only UniFi Protect?
Because doing one platform properly beats doing four adequately. Our team knows this system in depth, we stock the parts, and it integrates directly with the door access and phone systems we install.
How long should we keep footage?
Thirty days suits most businesses. Incidents often surface much later — disputes, claims, HR matters — so we size drives against how you actually discover problems rather than a default setting.
Are there monthly fees?
Not for recording. UniFi Protect has no per-camera licensing, and footage is stored on your own hardware. You own the system outright.
Do the cameras keep recording if the internet goes down?
Yes. Recording is local and continues through an outage. Internet is only needed for remote viewing and notifications.
Can you replace our existing cameras?
Usually the cabling stays and the cameras and recorder are swapped. We assess what is reusable before quoting so you are not paying to re-pull cable that is perfectly good.
Can we see the cameras from our phones?
Yes, through the UniFi Protect app, with per-user access so a manager and a staff member can be given different views.
