Frequently asked questions
Do you handle both IT support and physical installation?
Yes, and it is the main reason clients come to us. We design and install cabling, networks, cameras, access control and automation, then manage and secure it afterward. One company is accountable for the result.
What size businesses do you work with?
Mostly small and mid-sized organizations across South Jersey — offices, warehouses, retail, professional practices and light industrial. We are a good fit anywhere the technology matters but there is no internal IT department to run it.
How is managed IT priced?
A flat monthly rate, quoted per user or per device depending on which fits your environment. We quote after a walkthrough so the number reflects your actual setup rather than an industry average.
Is there a long-term contract?
Managed services use a term agreement so we can plan and staff properly. We go over the exit terms before you sign. Project work — cabling, cameras, a network upgrade — is quoted per job with no ongoing commitment.
What happens when something breaks after hours?
Managed clients have an after-hours path for outages that stop work. Response expectations are written into the agreement by severity rather than left vague.
Can you take over from our current IT provider?
Regularly. We manage the transition, document what we inherit and give you an honest assessment of what was left in poor condition.
Do you work with the equipment we already own?
Usually. If it is still supported and doing its job, we keep it and document it. Anything past end-of-life gets flagged with a realistic read on how urgent replacement is.
Do you do residential work?
Yes. Smart home control, distributed audio, theater, lighting, shades, cameras and networking for homes across South Jersey. Ongoing managed support agreements are for businesses, but we support the residential systems we install.
What camera, door and phone systems do you install?
We standardize on Ubiquiti: UniFi Protect for cameras, UniFi Access for door entry and UniFi Talk for phones. They share one console with the network, record and run locally, and carry no per-camera or per-door licensing fees. Doing one platform properly beats doing four adequately.
What is RTI and why do you use it?
RTI is a professional control platform. A local processor talks to your lighting, shades, climate, audio, cameras and gates, and gives you one interface across an app, in-wall touchpanels and handheld remotes. It processes locally, works without internet, and has no subscription fee to operate your own home.
How far do you travel?
We work throughout Gloucester, Salem, Camden, Cumberland and Cape May counties from our base in Pilesgrove, Salem County. If you are near the edge of that, call and ask — the answer is usually yes.
Do you help with cyber insurance or compliance questionnaires?
Yes. We map your environment against the requirements, close the gaps, and provide documentation that supports your answers.
What does “no upfront fees” mean on automation projects?
We scope the integration and identify the savings before you commit. If the numbers do not justify the project, we tell you and you owe nothing for the analysis.
Let's look at what you have.
A walkthrough and a written scope cost nothing. You'll get a real number before anyone shows up with a ladder.
